Well i have to pick the Bears pretty much by default...seeing as i'm a born and raised chicagoan and diehard bears fan...
...anyways i was a little surprised to see the Colts as 7 point favorites, i knew they'd be favored but that seems a little excessive. The Bears DID have a better reg. season record, which was probly in part due to playing in the weaker conference but still...
lemme know what y'all think...spread too big? do the bears have a chance? peytons thumb??
i cant decide between them...i want the bears because i called them to win the superbowl in week 1...but i want manning to win the big game finally... my guess, bears 21 colts 17. manning doesnt come thro, throws 2 picks, one for a td.
i like manning, i hope he does good in the game win or lose...i cant decide who i want to win...i like rex cause i think hes a good QB and has a bright future but i also want manning to win the big game and shove it in the critics faces that doubted him
Rex relies to much on luck. to many hail mary(LUCKY) passes, and when he is about to get tackled he just lobbs it up and happens to hit someone. his luck will run out sooner then later. I see a few pic's in his near future!
yea a few 'pics' with the MVP trophy of the superbowl...lol
besides, their WR's are underrated...muhsin muhhamed could be the most underrated WR in the league...and bernard berrian is fast as hell and has great hands, just ask the saints abuot the TD catch he had against them, and the TE desmond clark is a great TE for blocking and catching...
lol im just messing with you paul...im not a fan of the steelers cause the steeler bandwagon craze hit my area when they were good and now everyone jumped off that train this year.
only a 3hr and 24 minute drive to pine hill...186.66miles
omg my thread got totally jacked...lol...yanks i couldn't agree more about the bears WR's being under-rated...i'll undoubtably catch some flack for saying this, but i'd argue they're better as a whole than the colts receievers...
...Marvin Harrison don't get me wrong i think he's one of the best route-runners/technicians in todays game, but he lacks any sort of physical prescence and IMO is largely the product of a perfect system for him to play in, when he goes 1 on 1 with a physical rough DB like against Baltimore, he struggles....
...Bears have a Berrian who's CRAZY FAST, mohammed is one of the biggest strongest receivers out there, 2 real good TE's Gilmore and Clark...now if only we had peyton manning...ROFL
James with all due respect lucky or unlucky is just a tired argument in professional sports...Rex is as inconsistent as they come i'll be the first to admit it, but when he throws TD's, it ain't luck it's cuz he's got raw talent and potential.
Ouch. Got back from the store for all the fixings tomorrow. Hot roast beef, meatballs, chips/pretzles, rolls, soda, cheese, crackers, pepperoni...ect,ect... 100 wings will come 1/2hr b4 game time. I still have to get my azz to pick up a fresh keg. So far I'm set back $177!!!! Whoo hoo!
I'll agree with you on that, the Bears D was bad, and their O wasn't too bad, its just the fact that somehow the Colts Defense stepped up and stopped them.
while were talking about the game, I've noticed a lot of the Bears fans around her wanting to blame Grossman.
So, why is it that when a team wins, the fans always say something like "Our team really put things together and won", but when a team loses, they always want to put the blame on one person? Thats wrong, they win as a team, and they lose as a team. The Colts just flat out outplayed the Bears, end of story.
i never put the blame on rex...i personnally wasnt upset by his performance at all actually...it was a team loss, every part of the team had mistakes....colts just had fewer mistakes
this is the way I feel about it! indy is a dome team(not a teeam known for playing well in the elements) Chicago(windy city, should be able to dominate in any condition) Rex showed his true talant which is he has NONE! I said it is just a matter of time before he lobbs up his hale marry garbage passes that his recievers have been luckily grabbing saving his butt all year long and they intercepted them ALL!!! I loved it personally! Rex is the most overrated QB in the game!
