I have some problem with the .mts video files, which are about 3 gigs. I would like to put then on DVD without losing any quality. The videos are captured as 1920x1080 using Sony Handycam HDR-CX350. Now, the DVD resolution is 720x480. It is possible to keep as much quality as possible when burning to DVD?

As well all know, the 1920*1080 AVCHD video files with .mts extension recorded by Sony CX350 are not allowed to be burned to a black DVD directly. So you have to transcode AVCHD files to DVD burnable video formats. As for DVD burnable formats, AVI and MPEG-2 are both OK. But to keep its original HD quality, MOV format with H.264 video codec is the recommended converted video format. And your DVD resolution is720*480.
I thought the Final Mate for Mac is the best choice due to its extreme conversion speed and optimal output file parameter setting option for burn to DVD with DVD 720*480 resolution. Mabye you can try it .At present for me, Final Mate for Mac very good solved my problem.
