All I've really seen that has a lot of subwoofer working content is Die Another Day. I was hoping someone could refer me to a movie that can take advantage of this and/or a movie that gives lot of peak power usage.
Terminator 2 Terminator 3 Saving Private Ryan Star Trek II Star Trek III Star Trek V Star Trek VI Star Trek Nemesis Dick Tracy Die Hard Die Hard 2 Die Hard 3 Twister Cliffhanger Underworld Evolution Aliens Fantastic 4 Superman the Movie Star Wars all six movies! War of the Worlds
Nearly all the films mentioned in this thread I happen to own.
It should be pointed out to use caution when playing most of these films. Thou the soundtrack is completely fabricated and these are not real explosions there just an acoustic approximation.
The use of audio limiters with careful alignment can extend this even further without the worry of damaging the loudspeakers.
Star Wars Episode II: Attack of the Clones had one of the highest peak levels at the opening of the film with the spaceship being blown too pieces!
Then again seismic events like the classic Mark Robson film Earthquake 1974 which was dubbed in (((Sensurround))) now that 8 minutes sequence is or can be really loud and would make the windows shake violently!
Others like Dante's Peak and one that I haven't got on DVD at the moment would be, Volcano!
}That's very interesting. Yes, as you know I wasn't asking for the loudest average bass...I was asking for the loudest peak that could easily be heard from long distances outside.
I think Stars Wars EpII would Definitely be rated at least eight.
