I got this wonderful tv and having it hooked up to my old dvd player it had to have the picture set at "ZOOM" to fill the screen with widescreen dvds. (Those familiar with this set know it has screen settings normal, stretch, zoom, and stretch zoom.) I just got a new Sony DVP-NS725P player and it has a setup option for 6:9. When I choose this option the picture will look compressed horizontally in the normal mode and look perfect in the stretch mode. So which is giving me a sharper, correct image? DVD player set at 4:3 and tv set at zoom, or DVD player set at 6:9 and tv set at stretch?
I would like to know that answer too! I have a KF-50WE610 using a DVP-NS725P DVD player and I have it setup for 16:9 & when I view in the normal mode on my TV - all I see is a 4:3 display as discribed in the message above.
