| Please can anyone help me??? I've read the manuals, looked online and I can't get everything to work! I'm trying to hook up ...GOVideo DVD recorder (coaxial in/out, composite in/out, s-video in/out, progressive scan/component video out) ...GOVideo DVD/VCR combo (coaxial in/out, composite in/out, component video out/audio out, s-video out, CBC (cable box control?), analog audio out (L/R surround, L/R front, Sub, center) digital aidio out (optical, coaxial) ...2 satellite boxes (component video/audio out, coaxial out/in, s-video out) ...wireless headphones ...Panasonic late model TV (coax-ant 1 & 2 in plus split out, input 1---component video in green/blue/red and white/red audio, input 2---s-video, yellow/white/red...Pro out yellow/white/red.) I want to be able to copy VCR home movies to DVD, record DVD off TV, playback VCR tapes & DVDs, switch between Dish & Direct TV, listen to TV thru headphones. I've made diagrams and tried to be logical but I can't get everything to work at once and can't get DVD to copy from VCR tapes. New addition is the DVD recorder - I have everything else currently hooked up and working (I think - haven't tried VCR taping since I dismantled it and rehooked it?) Husband thinks I'm nuts and wants me to send everything back. Can anyone help me??? Edit |

Unregistered guest | DO YOU HAVE A WIRING DIAGRAM ON HOW TO HOOK UP A CABLE BOX,TV,VCR,DVD TOGETHER |
AlexKKK Unregistered guest | depending on what you want to do with the VCR, if you do not need to record DVD to VCR, the normal connection is as follow: 1. coaxial anntenna input to Cable Box then to VCR then to TV. 2. DVD direct to TV, if your TV have separate line input. |

Silver Member Username: SamijubalPost Number: 167 Registered: Jul-04 | First if you want to record from the VCR they have to be home recordings, most prerecorded videotapes are copyguarded and the DVD recorder won't let you copy them. To hook up run RCA cables from the out of the VCR to the in on the DVD recorder, then set the recorder on whatever input you connected the cables to. The recorder should hook to the TV with the component inputs if the TV has them, if not an s-video cable, if it doesn't have that then use the RCA jacks. |
Unregistered guest | hello, i am trying to connect my 8mm video vcr, vhs vcr, and my state of the art beta vcr to my new plasma. i have vhs rca out to monitor in, vhs rca in to 8mm imput 1 in, and output one to beta input 1 and beta out to 8mm input 2 in and 8mm output 2 into vhs input 2 in and from vhs input 2 out to beta input 2 in. for my receiver i have a state of the art tandy E9620 surrond sound reciever and audiofile grade jensen wireless surrond sound speakers. to hook up i went from vhs input 2 (spliced cable) out to beta input 2 in and from beta input 2 out into reciever input 1 in and from receiver input 2 out to to 8mm in (spliced) and back out to monitor input 2 in. I have followed the directions exactly as all manuals showed in the illustrations. i do have a picture but it is gastly ghostly. i was expecting a clearer image on this digbat plasma but alas i see it does not match up to the quality of my state of the art vcr's. can anyone help or want to buy the plasma so i can return to the solid picture quality of a tube. plasma is a poineer elite. |

Silver Member Username: SamijubalPost Number: 468 Registered: Jul-04 | If the cable from the Box goes to the in on the VCR and the out from the VCR goes to the TV, then it's hooked up right. |

Robyn Unregistered guest | Help Help. I am trying to hook up a DVD Player. Just your basic DVD Player. I have an older TV, but it does have the plugs I need in the back, red, yellow and white. I connected these to the DVD player, but nothing happens. No menu, nothing. The TV just stays on the cable channels but the DVD player says it is "playing." There's something in the manual that says to make sure I have the TV set to receive the video correctly? I can't find anything on the TV to show me how to do this?????????????????????? |
Bronze Member Username: Kdog044Post Number: 29 Registered: Feb-05 | Usually you have to select the input on the TV. It may be called Video 1 or Video 2 or something like that. There should be a button on the remote or something on the fron panel of the TV to select it. |
Unregistered guest | How do i hook up my 8mm camcorder to the VCR so I can record from my 8mm tape to VHS? I can view it through the TV but can not tape, what am i doing wrong? |
Silver Member Username: SamijubalPost Number: 721 Registered: Jul-04 | Connect to the VCR with RCA jacks, then set the VCR to line. Look for an input button on the remote, or go through the channels till you get to line. |

Gold Member Username: SamijubalPost Number: 1156 Registered: Jul-04 | You will probably have copyguard problems running through a VCR. If the TV has RCA or s-video connections use them, if not you need an RF modulator. |

jeff totally confused Unregistered guest | I had a older daewoo t.v. hooked up to my dvd player through a rf modulator. Then that t.v. died and I bought a new Toshiba t.v.. It worked fine for a month then it started "blipping".I had a service come and check the set,"nothing wrong its in your house wiring". Checked wiring O.k.. unplugged rf box quit blipping . whats wrong with the rf box? |
Gold Member Username: SamijubalPost Number: 1604 Registered: Jul-04 | If you've got a new TV, why use the modulator? Use component, s-video or RCAs. |
Silver Member Username: DirtfarmerAlberta Canada Post Number: 657 Registered: May-04 | yes a RF mod for older tv not new , as new one all really have all the plug on back and in front on some model, older one do not, that why you have to use a RF mod |
