I have a panasonic DVD-S75 multi-region player. It is designed for PAL systems - I am unsure of its NTSC compatibility. It plays DVDs from USA. Will it work with NTSC TVs in USA?

Thanks in advance

PAL equipment doesn't work in the US. It is very hard to find any multi-format equipment here, and what little is here is very expensive. You would need a step-up transformer to even be able to get power to it. We are 110 volts, not 220.

Thanks David.

The voltage issue is a good point, although I may need to get a voltage convertor anyway.

After my first post, I found this in the manual:
"this unit can play PAL and NTSC, but your system must match the system used with the disc"

does that mean it will work with USA TVs?

Not sure what that means, sounds like it might if using an NTSC disc. Does it say multi-format anywhere? From what I've read multi-format equipment is common in Europe, hard to find here.

it will work to play NTSC dvds on an NTSC TV but you wont be able to watch your PAL DVDs unless you take a PAL TV with you
