As I said earlier, "Fringe area reception can usually be augmented by buying a larger Dish. Silver Member Username: Tommy_hPost Number: 351 Registered: Jan-12 | lallu: wouldn't it be more productive to buy a singal finder of some sort first before you invest in a "larger dish" that may or may not pick up anything. Or call the local Bell company and ask if you can get Bell TV. in your area I am not to sure but if your bell reciever can pick up a signal so might and FTA reciever. |

Silver Member Username: Spicy_jonesPost Number: 198 Registered: Mar-11 | ![]() These are the 50 dBW contour isobars for EchoStar 14 at 119.0°W spotbeams (Alaska, the land of large antennas excepted). Fifty one (51) spotbeams in total. I included the Conus thumbnail( posted earlier) and the complete 35 dBw and above contours thumbnail so you all can have some idea of the huge amount of data that is available for any given area. The spotbeams are divided into two groups, A and B. Alaska, Hawaii, and Puerto Rico each have two (2) nearly identical spotbeams and several other areas have overlaping beams that are very similar in shape ( South Texas and South Florida in particular). |
