Posted on This may sound red neck but I actually like this homemade mount better thant the 80.00 mount on my Living Room TV. In game room I mounted a 43" Plasma. Took a 2x6 and ripped it at a 45 degree angle just off center. Installed the wider half to the wall via 3 counter sunk toggle bolts. This is how to install cabinets on a wall so it's very sturdy. Next I bolted the smaller half to the back of the TV via #8 metric screws. I then put two longer #8 screws in the bottom two mount sockets on the back of the TV. You then simply lift the TV up and drop it into the mating wedge on the wall. You can adjust it slightly tilting it with the bottom screws. Cost me a couple of bucks and it very easy to do as long as you have access to a table saw to rip the board. |

Posted on Well done, and may even work for heavier sets. I'd make sure my wall board grabbed 3 studs.... |
