So, my Vizio LCD has lost it's picture, but still has sound. The picture is gone regardless of the source (cable, Blu Ray, DVD), and there are no displays. I have taken the back off to look for obvious electrical issues, but don't see any. Does anyone have a suggestion as to what to do next to try and get it working? Thanks in advance!
I'm working on the same sort of issue with an older L32 model. I have fixed a Vizio 42" LCD with same issue, but that one had obvious signs of electrical/PCB damage. Power board was a simple fix for a 42" I bought as non-working for $50. A lot depends on which model you're working on, your troubleshooting abilities, and your tools (meter). LCD TV repair is rewarding for the DIYer for sure......thing is....it isn't always easy or visible. If you don't diagnose the problem, and throw parts at it, it can cost you more than a new TV.
