I have a Samsung HL50A650C1fXZA that I've owned for about 3 years now. I've had a faulty bulb before, but in the last 5-6 months, my TV has shut down multiple times and the bulb appears dead,
Each time, I've ordered a new bulb and it works for a few days before shutting down. As it seems highly improbable that 3 bulbs would die like that, something else has to be up.
It doesn't make a grinding noise like a color wheel, but makes a small buzzing sound before shutting down coming from underneath one of the fans (both of which are working). Is that the ballast and is that potentially the cause for this problem?
If that's the case, would it cause a bulb to either burn out quickly or the TV to shut down and blink the two outside lights in the front? I can replace a ballast if need be, just want to make sure I make the right repair. Thanks everyone in advance,
