I have comcast basic cable ($19.99 a month)...
and comcast high-speed.
I was looking out in the site for a descrambler "Tristar MX 2005"...which is 100% Non-Addressable
100% Non-Detectable
100% Bullet Proof
(never get zapped)

Is it worth to buy this?

Does anyone know if I can use a descrambler with Knology cable provider? I can't seem to find much info on it. I have basic cable, but the telephone and cable internet is supplied through the same line. 3 in 1 service.

part 1) order IO digital from comcast, note the made, the model and serial #. open the box remove the mac -nic- adapter (for IP purposes), now go to ebay,
part 2) order or bid for a digital descrambler of the same model( do not worry about the activiation thing) open the box from ebay remove the mac-nic adapter and swap it with the one from Comcast, now you should have a descrambler box that has Comcast serial#. good luck

I have been looking a the messages because of course I HATE comcast. Right now I told them to disconnect me all together, and they did. My daughter has the enternet, but NO cable for me. I sorry that I am not understanding alot of the information on this, but I would Love to. O.K #1. What if the big box outside is locked? Am I screwed. #2. If the big box outside is not locked and I can get the filter off, do I still need a box on the inside of my apartment? #3. If I need a box inside my apartment where would you recommend I get one. I'm not trying to be greedy, but Please $45.00 per month for 75 basic channels, that have so many interuptions, I could pull out my hair. If any one can Help and this is not to basic. Please advise,at this time I refuse to pay them. Thank you.

i read this entire thread last night and then my comcast guy came this morning to set me up with basic cable and high speed internet... i was excited to be able to take off the metallic tube-like filter and get all the channels released so i followed him down to the basement (i live in an apartment complex) to see what cable line was mine and i played dumb... then when he was done i asked him "so will i get like mtv now?" and he said no because you signed up for basic ($8) and not standard ($47)... so i asked him if there's anyway i can make that happen and he said no because comcast apparently doesn't use those filters in boston anymore because too many people were simply removing them so they just put out a basic signal... but then how do people get standard cable? anyone know how i can get standard cable? i want my MTV... hahaha... thanks so much!

Hi,
I was wondering if anyone can help me. I want to know if there is any way I can order basic cable from cablevision for $14 a month and hook something up to it allowing me to use cable internet?

2 to 3 yrs. ago I bought a chipped cable box scientific atlanta 8580 for $50. Media 1 was the cable co. I got it all, basic, sho, hbo, cin + 4 ppv.
Didn't even pay for basic, the line was hot when I screwed it on & plugged in the box, Life was good. I got the surge protecter w/coax connection so box wouldn't get zapped. Then 6mo. later media 1 sold the co. to fu__ing comcast. 1st they cut out 2 of the ppv ch. 1 is a home shop & the other is a spanish ch. But a month ago ch. 78 hotnet/spice ch. turned to snow & static. Whats strange is every ch. on box has something on it E! is on 79-94 reg. ch is 28. Why? I'm not sure, guess they don't like blank chnls. My ? is can just ch. 78 have gotten zapped? Can anybody tell me where 78 went, why & how 2 get it back? Also I was told that the chip is put in box, box is programed & chip is taken out. But from what I'v read here it sounds like it's left in. So is it in or out? Thanks for any answers or held you have to offer.

You people should really stop wasting your time looking for filters or digital descrambler boxes. Digital cable has been around since the mid-late 90's and still no hack for it.

It's best to lean towards what's out there, like FTA. Everyone is busy with dss, nobody is even working on digital cable.

This afternoon, I had a conversation with one of the sales guys at www.cablewire.tv. After three disconnects, I was finally able to extract the that the company will only accept payment via checking account electronic withdrawal; no money orders, no COD, no credit cards. When I asked why, the guy said that there had been a lot of fraud but "he just works here". I was able to extract that the digital descramblers they claim to sell are full "on" for all 999 channels, but with the method of payment they request, I would not be willing to give them access to my bank account. The fax number given on their on-line order page is to a number in Hamilton, Ontario; yet a February 15 2005 post shows the domain name is registered to a place in Wilmington, Delaware. It is an easy matter to confirm the validity a credit card, and the company could easily wait for a money order to clear, but they also will not give out their address. There is too much wrong with this outfit for them to be legit. They may indeed sell a legitimate product, but I am not willing to have my bank account number as a part of their records. Much too much a risk of identity thief. If anybody out there has had any experience with these folks, please post your narrative.

I ordered a DCT Digital box for my Motorola DCT 2244/1161 ABCDEG box for Adelphia Digital from www.cablewire.tv I had to call back 3 times before getting my order thru and confirmed, I paid with a check, I think they hang up on you if they think your wasting their time or their just to busy, whatever reason its no way to run a business. I talked to a guy named Mark. They shipped me an Explorer Digital by mistake and I had to call their 800 number to get a Return number to send it back for an exchange for the right equipment, finally after 1 week I received my DCT box and let it channel map for my system after about 2 hours All the channels popped in And I was able to receive all the channels except some of the higher up channels, after more research discovered I was getting these channels too but the channel numbers where not the same as my channel guide (annoying). I called and ordered 1 more box for my bedroom they sent me the right one on the first try, I hope it doesn't clunk out anytime soon. It's better than The HU card I used to program, I hope the cable company can't knock it out with an ECM like DirecTV used to do every 2 weeks or less, I asked the sales guy if it that was possible and he said "no" he wasn't up for much conversation, we will see...
Their sales people seem to be not that knowledgeable or just paranoid?
Anyway I'm going to watch TV now. I hate HU cards and programmers!!

The only way to get free cable now days is to know a cable guy. You will need the keys to unlock boxes out side and special tools to take off terminaters and filters. After quitting Comcast I now make $500+ a day hooking up free cable and internet. We are out there you just gotta find us.

Mine is a simple question. I have a coolbox that used to get channel 99 as PPV. Now, channel 99 is some sort of hillbilly hunting fishing channel. I find out the PPV is up around channel 500 now. Anything I can do?
If this topic was covered, sorry. I did read every post in this thread and didn't see anything about it.

A black box will get you some ppv channels, as long as your still receiving an analog signal. Once they switch to digital the show is over and the box is worthless.

hey dudes, i recently moved into my first apartment and signed up for comcast cable internet and local cable television (channels 2-22). I have an old cheater box that my family used about ten years ago before digital cable to receive movie channels and ppvs. Anyway, my question is if i connect my old cheater box to my tv will i get basic cable with it? What's most important to me is to have comedy central or espn, stuff like that. any help would be appreciated.

hey dudes, i recently moved into my first apartment and signed up for comcast cable internet and local cable television (channels 2-22).

I have a filter for a general instrument dct 2000 cable box. How do you reset the memory? It works for a while then wants you to call in for ppv.

To reset the filter the first thing you must do is stick it in your phoh phoh and see if it fits, then screw it all the way in to reset it.

Yea lets get back on subject. If you have something constructive let us know. Ive tried filters for a long time and theyve done me good, but they only work if you have digital.

I got mine from here, they got a tracking number and all that ish. I say you do the 90 day money back thing and see if they work on your box. I dont know about Sat, but im looking into it. I dont like how cable AND sat companies charge these huge prices, it sucks.

Hi,
I moved into an appartment recently, and subscribed to SBC's DSL service. Now, I need to get mote tv channels. I wonder if there is a device which I can use without getting any furthere cable subscription. I wonder what would be the most cost effective option for getting a few channels( I am not really looking for the premium channels and all that). Does any one think it makes ssense to get the basic cable offering of over $31 a month from SBC?
Thanks.

Thanks.

hey dudes, i recently moved into my first apartment and signed up for comcast cable internet and local cable television (channels 2-22).

I have digital cable in my living room and i have high speed internet. I just split the line going to my internet and hooked up basic cable in my bedroom but only a select channels will come in like 2-3 16 49-55 and thats all is there a reason im not getting all the basic channels or is there a way to fix this?

Be sure you've run the auto program feature on the tv that's hooked up to just coax. Other than that, the digital channels will not come through and the lineup you just posted may be all you can receive on the analog spectrum.

hey dudes, i recently moved into my first apartment and signed up for comcast cable internet and local cable television (channels 2-22).

Thanks.

Hey just giving you all a heads up. I bought a cable box from Modern Electronics in Florida 3 years ago. Comcast took this business down legally, seized all their billing and shipping records. They are now suing me. I contacted a lawyer and was told if they have you on the puchase (i used a credit card) and delivery he said I'm screwed. Comcast is nice enough to offer a deal to settle out of court, which is 5,000.00 or 3,500.00 and I have to sign a contract to keep their service for 2 more years. They suck! My lawyer said they DO NOT have to prove if I used it. The fact that this box has no other use is enough and I would easily spend 3,500. in lawyer fees to fight it. So I will be sending out a check for 35hundred dollars to make this go away. Please everyone be carefull

A black box will get you some ppv channels, as long as your still receiving an analog signal. Once they switch to digital the show is over and the box is worthless.

The LASIK Eye Surgeon Network has brought together the Nation's leading LASIK laser eye surgery doctors to help you understand your options in LASIK laser eye surgery.

To assure you of the best possible LASIK outcome , the LASIK Eye Surgery Directory is now operated by the nonprofit Council for Refractive Surgery Quality Assurance (CRSQA). CRSQA is a consumer and patient organization that provides objective information about LASIK laser eye surgery. Through its certification program, CRSQA evaluates and lists only the best-qualified and most experienced LASIK laser eye surgeons. All LASIK surgeons listed in the LASIK laser eye surgeon directory must meet CRSQA's strict patient outcome requirements, including:

• A minimum of 4 years experience in LASIK surgery
• A minimum of 1,000 successful LASIK surgery procedures
• A minimum of 250 procedures per year
• A 90% success rate achieving 20/40 or better (excluding patients with pre-op best corrected vision of less than 20/40)

Beware of other directory sites that have commercial listings and will list any LASIK surgeon willing to pay to be listed in their directory.

Choose your state if you are ready to search the LASIK laser eye surgeon directory to find a LASIK surgeon close to you. Or, if you still need to learn more about LASIK laser eye surgery, please review the wealth of content and LASIK information available at CRSQA's home website http://www.usaeyes.org.

Hair Genesis Kits - Bronze, Silver, Gold
Isn't it time you discovered HairGenesis, the botanical solution to hair loss? Pattern hair loss is believed to result from the hormonal conversion of testosterone to a problematic substance known as DHT (dihydrotestosterone). The HairGenesis line helps prevent damage to the hair follicle caused by DHT. Each kit includes Oral Softgels formulated with botanical substances to strengthen and protect your hair better than ever before. You'll also enjoy the convenience of the Topical Activator Serum, bristling with a host of potent 5AR inhibitors, which only needs to be applied once a day! The Hair Cleansing Formulation maximizes the benefit of HairGenesis by attacking DHT with a suite of the key components found in the oral formulation that have been shown to block DHT from binding to the hair follicle. Finally, gently protect and strengthen weakened hair from further damage with the Hair and Scalp Conditioner. Hair Genesis can be used by both men and women.

Guys, I've read posts on here for the last two hours and need to know whether or not this is legit. I am being offered a Motorola HD/DVR Digital Cable box that supposedly gets ALL pay and local channels FREE. I was curious as to what the going rate for one of these boxes would be, and if they have a tendency to get "shot down" like the hacked DTV cards used to. Also, I have analog cable right now, but digital and HD are available in this area. If I get this box what would I need to do in order to use it? It was used with comcast before (the seller supposedly used it with Comcast, but has since moved, and no longer has Comcast available.) Would they need to actually see the box to get it hooked up or could I get digital cable turned on by using there box, and then replace it with the "programmed/hacked" one? Or does this just sound like a scam anyway? The guy was on eBay nad had like 99% positive feedback, with a score over 200. Thanks, Chase

Thanks.

Hair Genesis can be used by both men and women.

cablewire.com sells digital cable box but they are not modified meaning that they will not ubscramble any channels so that you can get payperviews or hbo, cinemax, indemand.Thank about it if they had digital cable boxes that unscramble premium channels all the cable descrambler websites would be selling them.
Agin those boxes that they are selling will not unscramble channels.Use your intelligence people. If you look on the cable descrambler websites they will tell you there is NO digital cable descrambler box .After all this is the buisness they"re in they would Know.

I hate HU cards and programmers!!

part 1) order IO digital from comcast, note the made, the model and serial #. open the box remove the mac -nic- adapter (for IP purposes), now go to ebay,
part 2) order or bid for a digital descrambler of the same model( do not worry about the activiation thing) open the box from ebay remove the mac-nic adapter and swap it with the one from Comcast, now you should have a descrambler box that has Comcast serial#. good luck

Its an okay unit you can probally find one a little cheaper they all do the same thing provideing they have a good video card.make sure it comes with a 3-5 year warranty and at lease a 30-60 money back guarantee.Read the forum and check some of the different sites and compare prices and warranties

Digital cable descrambler box

There is none on the market yet if you think cablewire or newelectronics are the only people selling them come on people all the cable descrambler websits would be selling them use your sense digital cable has to send a signal back to the cable company and if it doesnt they will want to come check it out. These companies may sell a digital box but it will not descramble channels you dont pay for it will be a regular cable box just like the ones your cable company gives you

Hi,
I paid a guy 100 bucks to hook up my cable (he turned it on from the box outside) and I dont have to pay a monthly fee. I want to get cable internet access through comcast which I suspect is the compnay who suppiles the signal I am recieving for the TV. My first question is..If I tried to have them set up the internet access will they know Im bootlegging the tv signal? Im thinking/planning of moving, and im going to have my guy hook up my next place in a few months. Should I have the internet access turned on first and then splitt the incoming signal..without him bootlegging the tv signal..or should I splitt the signal and still have him bottleg the signal so there will be no issues with connection? Basically I need to know if my bootleg signal will be detected once hooked up after/before cable internet has been established. If it can..how can I split the signal and keep it up and running? Thanks in advance for any help.
