I have been shopping for the past year for a flat panel HDTV - 42" to 46" because of space limitations. DLP and plasma seemed to be my only options. Now, however, there is a lot of excitement about larger LCD TVs (such as 46" Samsung LTN-468W, Sony 42" KDL-42XBR950 and some new Sharps).
(See this website for some pros and cons: http://www.plasmacity.com/lcd_vrs_plasma.htm)
The DLPs and plasmas I have seen have problems. The LCDs I have actually seen (Sharp 37" and Sony 30") look great. What do you all think? Are direct view LCDs going to blow RPTs and plasma out of the water?
