Unregistered guest | David, I'm on the hunt for the same motor...so far I've found a company that sells Mabuchi motors but don't know if they have that one! "Discs not spinning may or may not be a spindle motor problem. When I need them I get them from Electrosound http://www.moteva.com or http://www.MCMelectronics.com or Tritronics" from roger at mrfixit! Keep me in mind if you get a source and I'll do the same for you...my motor had burnt through brushes! DaveC |

Here is how I fixed it, I used the back off an RF-310T-11400, they have the same brush assembly, so just put that back on your old motor and you will be back in business. I had to clean up the part of the motor the brushes rub on too but it worked great. The RF-310T-11400 motor is a CD motor and only costs around $5.00, there are some other mabuchi motors you can use the back from to fix the DVD motor too but I don't know the numbers right offhand. The DVD motor is not available anywhere by itself, you have to buy the whole laser assembly I have since found out. |
Unregistered guest | I've had a couple of offers to sell me used motors but I'm afraid of the same problem. Mabuchi has a carbon brush motor that I'm looking into finding that might serve as a replacement for that metal brush motor and FaFa motor has a RB-24LB0324 that they say is a replacement for the Mabuchi |
