I just got a new 55" Philips HD widescreen CRT projection. When watching standard or digital cable channels you can visibly see horizontal lines running/flashing on the screen. Is something wrong? or is this just due to the size, projection nature, or 300-400i of the cable signal? Or is something not right with the tv?
A DVD player set to interlaced mode has a very similar problem also, but when set to play in progressive mode the DVD looks perfect.
Help? Also, it looks the same whether connected via coax/RCA/s-video
Also, this happens whether the Eye Fidelity feature is set to interlaced or progressive (line doubling).
And this also goes in and out it seems during the same program. Most of the time you'll notice these 'lines' but sometimes they seem to go away and the picture is clear.
