Monday, November 01, 2010 - 13:45 GMT I have quit service with Direct TV but (naively) assumed I would be able to access my recorded material on the HR21-100 DVR m/c. Is there any way I can acces it, transfer to computer etc without re-signing?

Thursday, December 23, 2010 - 01:24 GMT If the videos are still on the hard drive, and you can play them back on your TV, then you can get them onto a PC's hard drive.

Thursday, December 23, 2010 - 22:44 GMT Not even with a video capture card acting as a VCR? It won't be HD, but it's something.

Friday, December 24, 2010 - 03:42 GMT You can't play from the receiver after service if terminated. You would have to access recordings straight from the HDD which can't be done.

Friday, December 24, 2010 - 14:01 GMT That's a major bummer. I guess Derek should have thought of this before terminating service.
