HDMI 1.4 for 3D TV has me confused. I've noticed the introduction of various Blu-ray players, receivers, pre/pros, etc. that are set up with HDMI 1.4; In fact I'm thinking of buying one in a few months (Marantz AV 7005 - more for the digital connection for iPod and bluetooth than HDMI 1.4). Haven't noticed it so much for TV's. My question is whether HDMI 1.4 is going to be necessary? I'm not even sure that 3D TV is going to catch on ($150 for a pair of glasses that my my kids can break?), but I'm curious. I have a TV that is 3D ready (Panasonic TC-P58VT25 if that makes a difference), but it doesn't have HDMI 1.4. Is there going to be some type of work around or what?
