jayman here a guide that u can keep for your reference.good luck
from http://newftaxplosion.com/showthread.php?t=2380

Solaris How To
-Loading Files
2-Settings and Channel Scan
3-Networking (S.U.N.S) Secure Updating Network Systems

Files for the nfusion's

Boot
Main
There is a main/boot button on loader application, if your loading boot file switch the button to boot, main file make sure button is switched to main (New units should be be being sent out with latest factory file u27 and boot file 1.30, I believe the sd model may haveu33, but u27 will work fine).

1. Loading files

These units have a few way's to load files to them.

Loader application
Webloader
Channel Editor
Remote Control/units Menu

Loader application
there are 2 loader, they both do the same job, Better USB-serial result with the 1.1 loader. The other loader is 1.31 Loader

Loading files with the loader application is a pretty simple task, download and unpack loader, open loader, select boot or main button on loader depending on which file your loading, download the latest main or boot file for your model located in the nfusion download section and unpack it.

Nfusion file section>> Select open file button on loader, select the latest unpacked file, hit open (the loader is now prepared to load).

Next prepare the receiver, plug your receiver into your computer via serial update cable that came with your Unit , if your PC does not have a serial port I would suggest buying a serial pci card, and install it in your PC, all receivers have a serial port and if your Unit ever mess's up in most case's thats all that will work is serial , so with your serial update cable hooked to PC and nfusion, time to plug nfusion into power outlet (with rear power switch off). Receiver is ready for file, hit the start nfusion button, you will get a pop-up ,hit OK on pop-up and run over and flick nfusion rear power switch ON, file will start to load, then go good on nfusion display, then go 0000 at this point the file is done loading, power nfusions rear power switch OFF.

Webloader
This is a very neat tool the nfusion's have , I haven't seen anything like it for any other brands, simple way to load files via Ethernet cable or wireless. What it is pretty much a browser web page/interface with file loading options, such as load a file from your PC to nfusion or take file from your nfusion, can also load or retrieve channel list from nfusions with this tool. Look in the help section for the How to.

Channel Editor
I haven't really used tis at all, don't look too difficult thow .If want the info go to Help section.

Remote Control/units Menu
This is the easiest and my most preferred way to update to latest file, don't get much easier, hit menu on REMOTE,go to internet, go to S/W upgrade, do a S/W check, if its a newer file then is on your Unit now hit update, the file will download and flash to your Unit , then reboot, file loaded, sometimes the download will fall in which case just try again later.

These are the file loading how to's for nfusion, for your initial install your best off goin strait to the loader application and PC, after that you can install latest files whatever way works best for you. Files needed to be loaded, if your Unit is new then once again it should come with latest factory software on it , boot file and factory file. Files needed - latest boot 1.30, latest factory U27, latest 3rd party release.

2 Settings and Channel Scan
Plug your Unit into wall outlet and TV set, power it ON via rear power switch, go threw the install process, you will end up in Antenna settings , set your SAT, switch and LNB settings, go to the bottom for channel scan, do the scan. Now you got your channels, menu tv/radio list, sort them how you plz, exit out
Press menu, system settings, go down to time settings, set your time, exit out , hit menu, user settings, turn autorolls, emulator OFF and Set your primary sat at the bottom, exit out, hit menu, internet, turn network connection ON. Thats about all that needed there.

3 Networking (S.U.N.S) Secure Updating Network System
In order for the nfusions to work they need to be hooked to the internet at all times, whether you hard wire it with ethernet cable or use wireless bridge. So hook er up whatever way you decide ,power off all network gear, power it back on starting at the net source and go from there, so power on net modem, then router, then wireless bridge if your using 1, then power on nfusion, your service msg should be I on N on EMU off p off
I-Internet(plug-in a net connection, if I is not on then it is not getting a connection)

N-Network connection (turns on/off in menu)

Emu-Emulator (turn on/off in manu)

P-Proxy (turns on/off in menu)
Long as you have I or N on EMU off P off and latest file loaded, your Unit should kick in with in a FEW Min's.

Make sure the cable is good, no bent pins or any obvious damage.
If that's good then you have no communication trough your serial port, try to reload driver.

It's easiest to load it with the web loader, RTAP gave you several options, but the web loader is the easiest, just follow the instructions.

Unhook all cable on your router then hook only the receiver on port 1 then power off and on the router, in your browser type 192.168.2.100 or 101 you will access to your receiver and the login, type ''admin'' in nick and nothing in password and ''enter'', found your file and send it to your receiver, do a factory default then scan all satellites, wait on a working channel then enjoy!

There are 2 ways to download a file in the Phoenix, you can do it with the serial port or by your computer browser!

In your browser type it:

192.168.2.100 you will see your receiver, type admin in nick then 0000 in password!

Found your file then upload it!
