I have an AOC HDTV model # L19W898 and a Magnavox DVD/CD Player with Video Cassette Recorder model # DV225MG9 and I was told to purchase an APEX Digital TV Converter Box model DT250A. I am trying to hook up these devices to allow me to record with the VCR. I am only needing to record and watch the same channel as I record. Can anyone help me get this hooked up? Diagrams would be great. Thanks

It sounds like you are using an aerial antenna, because if you had cable you wouldn't need the Apex.

Buy a RF splitter from Radio Shack or Best Buy. Connect your antenna's cable to IN on the RF splitter and the TV and the Apex to the OUTs on the RF splitter.

Connect the composite video+stereo (yellow+red+white connectors) from the Apex to LINE IN and AUDIO IN on the Magnavox.

I have cable running directly from the wall to the TV. No cable box.

I am familiar with Comcast and Cablevision.
They both currently still carry analog TV signals on their feeds.
So, you should be able to just connect up directly to the VCR's antenna input and record away.

You'll still need that RF splitter.
