1. Using DSL cable or Cable network supplied connections, Wall to Internet Modem. 2. Using Ethernet cable, Modem to Router (wireless if necessary) 3. Using Ethernet cable, Router to (a) Computer, (b) dongle (Weather forecaster) 4. Weather forecaster is plugged into your Viewsat Ultra.
See 3 (b) - if distance too big or inconvenient, you can use (a) Wireless Access point device or (b) a pair of powerline adaptors which convert your whole house wiring to a wired network.
To make it simple: when you buy the dongle it comes with the grey cable: attaches the receiver to dongle. ac adapter: to power the dongle. black cable to hook the reciver to PC. you will need an ethernet cable or access point router: to hook up your router to the dongle.
pic quality is very good Every iks units has its ups and downs but very watchable ,No bev though just 110 118 and 119 I have had mine since end of november and I would say I,ve had about 5 days in total where it was down or unwatchable due to heavy freezing
