Big IKS news of the day is that Viewsat Weather forcaster which was delivered 2 days ago to some users for testing has a new file released today.

This file loads into VS Ultra and Ultra lite and works only with the forecaster - a $110 item.

Currently the Sonysat is a very good buy, if you can find one. Limesat is becoming a close second.
You need a good broadband connection on all the time.
CNX is well established and good.

Will thank you for your advice, but you didn't answer my question.
You need to see a doctor! Have a good day. And please I don't need
anymore comments like this. Next time I will report you to a mod. I
believe that you need to read the rules and terms of this form.

Whatever you were scanning with "a fortec lifetime
ultra" under your set up of dishes and switches, remains unaltered when you scan with a CNX Nano. However, the IKS server of CNX Nano, does not serve the keys for all the scanned channels.
Look at the Currently available list of serviced channels. Even that is not completely accurate, because the list keeps on changing and the stability of the servers keeps on changing much more that your expereinced with FTA in the past. Also note that each of the IKS providers has its own unique list of channels serviced.
I regret the interruptions cauised by the idiot who posted an answer. I can assure you that it is not the policy of the Ecoustics site to allow these idiots and I beleive Plymouth has been made a sort of a mod here and he does delete posts and threads and recommends deletion of unruly members. Hence the abuse against him.

Nalin Nyda, thank you for your help. If you don't mind! I would like to
know where I can read info on what is out there to buy. I understand
that viewsat is testing something this week and that they were going
put a working file out. Would this mean that we can use our old receivers!

thank you

The table I have at the start of this thread is derived partly from Also in the table I have provided above each of the IKS service has their own site and I have the URLs there. You can't click on them directly but you can do a cut and paste.

where does your INFO come from? some other site that you took the information from and made it look like you figured it out?... a true tester and hobbyist owns and reports there findings Now we all know you own a computer with the Internet but I doubt you know how that works either. so how can you tell us that you really know this IFNO to be true
