I got 118.8 LNB, and replaced it for 119 W LBN....though I've not changed the original direction from 119 W. I scanned all the channels at Anik F3...i just get few channels...and cant see indian channels...any suggestion/advice?
Sorry I forgot to mention that I've CNX mini receiver at home...with few channels on Anik F3, I can see Apana Color in the list but cant see the channel...I get "No Signal" indication there.
Pre-requisites for getting Anik F3 (118.8W) 1. 33" dish 2. Special LNB for 118.8 either generic ($15-20) or DP 500 Plus or DP 100 0plus LNBF. 3. Appropriate switching - DiseqC for genraic type, and DP 34 or DP 44 for Dish LNBs. 4. Connections: Same port for 118.8 and 119 (if using Generic type, and Port 1(119) and 4(118.8) if using DPP. 5. Switch settings for 118.8W are: LNB freq 10750 (single-standard) or 10600(single-standard) or 9750-10750(Universal 2) LNB type: either Standard for generaic type or DSC-DP for Dish LNBF. Apropriate Port setting in receiver setup based on physical connection. 6. Do scan all or Blind scan as appropriate. 1st TP should be 11715 if using scan all.
If you are getting 119W nicely 118.8W should come in. Try direct connect to receiver to check if switch might be a problem. If you have a DP twin for 119/110, use it for 110 only and buy a generic LNB for 118.8W.
