Now the TV is shutting off automatically, without any error lights, just like we would shut it off normally. When we turn it back on, there is a slight humming noise and the screen lights up, half darker than the other, before the pictures comes back on. Sometimes the TV immediately shuts back off and we have to try to turn it on again. It probably shuts off about 10-15 times a day and has been doing it for about 4 days. Any suggestions on what it could be? Thanks. |

When it reaches a certain limit its shuts off the TV for security reasons. To reset the lamp timer here is a small guide: http://www.fixyourdlp.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=10&t=1050&start=0&hilit=Loading+Factory If that dose not fixes your problem then it might be the color wheel do to the fact that there is a humming sound, you see, when the middle bearing is off its center position the wheel starts to make contact with the metal housing. Resulting in a chip color wheel. http://www.fixyourdlp.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=10&t=1254 hope this helps you out. |
