Unhook the network then power off the receiver, hook the cable then power on the receiver!

Plymouth, the router I have is encrypted with password (encryption key). Now, I run the CAT5 network cable to reciever. Do you think may be that is reason its coming off service? because its encrypted. I honestly do not think that is case, I mean once it has the IP address, it should work. Right?

If you run with a network cable, I can't see a problem, usualy the encryption is for Wifi!

Power off the receiver, the modem and the router then power on in this order: Modem, router and receiver, wait few minutes between each hardware the time that all reboot properly!
