We are looking for a 50" or bigger TV for under $2000. I have seen a lot of TVs out there and was just wondering which brands offer the best value for the money and any brands that we should avoid. |

Anonymous | For your limit (<$2k>50"), you are in the area of CRT RPTV. Plasma, DLP, etc. are out of your price range (although they are coming down). Since most of the projection lens are made by a handful of companies, the choice will be based on the features (e.g., built-in HD tuner). Hitachi, Misu, Sony and others all make decent TVs. With the rebates and discount, you can easily pick up a 55" or 57" for $2K. |
