We still get a black and white picture, even though we have changed the NTSC settings (as instructed by the dvd manual). We use the RCA cables. Any other suggestions? Thanks. |

Bronze Member Username: XolPost Number: 22 Registered: Jun-04 | The most probably reasin is that you get PAL output from your DVD player. I assume your TV wants NTSC. You can try to configure TV to auto mode if it has one and thus it will accept PAL and NTSC. What kind of DVD disk you have. Is it NTSC (zone1) or PAL (zone2)? Most DVD players have forced mode to playback in PAL or NTSC. This can be accessed via menu or you may have switch on the back pannel of DVD. So you can go and force your DVD to playback in NTSC. And the last option is copy protection. If you connect DVD to TV not directly but via VCR you can suffer it.
