I need help; I have echostar receiver and 2 satellites 61.5 and 119. When I use sw21 and run switch, it says DP Quad or DP Twin and pick only 61.5 or 119 satellite. Please if any one help me why ?
TJ, what kind of dn recr and lnb do you have ? I assume you may be using legacy lnbs and hd or dvr recrs. If you have basic dn recr you are ok to use sw21. BUT if it is DH recr or DVR I would use two separate legacy LNBs and need not to use dish pro lnb and you can use sw21. I assure you that will work. Let me know what you have?
TJ, If you are using dish pro lnb on a basic recr, you can't use sw21. Get dp switchs. I wonder you still have your basic recr and not the legacy lnbs. TJ now you have two options what ever you find it cheaper.Either get dp switch or get legacy lnb and you can sw21 with that.
If ya have Dish Pro LNB's U MUST use a DP switch, if ya want to combine the 119 and the 61.5 sats into 1 cable....plain and simple..regardless of what receiver/s U may have.. can't be more clear than that...
BTW....if ya have a DP Twin or Quag LNB, ther are already made and configured to ONLY receive satellite signals that are 9 degrees apart....like the 110-119..or 82-91....
so U will need 2 dishes for the 61.5 and the 119..and ya can't mix and DP and Legacy LNB's from those 2 dishes..so make sure the 2 dishes BOTH use either Legacy (non Dish Pro) LNB's ..or BOTH have Dish Pro LNB's..
MY posts above are EXACTLY on the money!...if ya read above, NN nor plymutt provided absolutely NO usefull factual information , relative to this thread's subject regarding switches and LNB's....
but I expect dipshits to post dipshit replies..and they did!..and will continue to do so..
TJ...yer welcome...don't ask again or expect a truthful honest answer
