Wednesday, December 16, 2009 - 16:27 GMT I just hooked up my system, consisting of a Directv receiver, a Mistubishi 60" DLP TV, and an Onkyo TX-SR707. When I put it the receiver on the input for the Directv receiver, I can view the on screen display for the channel guide, change channels, etc, but I cannot see/hear anything (black screen). It doesn't make any sense that I can't view a picture other than the Directv stuff. Any suggestions?

Wednesday, December 16, 2009 - 17:05 GMT OK Check your setting in your Onkio or read the manual, sometime you have a direct video button, you can try another input and see if it work. I downloaded the manual, I will check and come back.

Wednesday, December 16, 2009 - 19:37 GMT That's how I have my hdmi cables connected. I could understand the issue if I had nothing at all showing, but seeing the directv menus, channel guide, etc is strange. If there was no connection at all, obviously I wouldn't even get that.

Wednesday, December 16, 2009 - 19:54 GMT Duane It can be the copy protect of your receiver which block the signal, you must have info in your Onkio manual.
