Reliability of the HDMI ports

Tell me about the reliability of the HDMI ports on my laptop (Sony Vaio) or LCD TV (Sony)? It is not harmful to them if I insert and take off cable several times a day? I plug in out hdmi cable dozens of time a day.. i had no problem with it. Just make sure you pull the cable from the end.
