The multi-year contract offers GlobeCast increased satellite transmissions infrastructure to fulfill its customer needs for distribution of live sports, breaking news and special events. GlobeCast said it decided to invest in expanded capacity to meet the growing demand for HD services, sports broadcasting and news coverage. Intelsat has also increased its ability to meet demand by dedicating approximately 140 transponders across its entire fleet specifically to be used for OU services. "This year, we are on track to handle over 120,000 OU feeds throughout our network," said Jean-Philippe Gillet, Intelsat's European and Middle East regional vice president, in a statement. Financial details of the contract were not disclosed. |

The signal is weak because they put to much channels on one transponder, if they could use MPEG 4 H.264 as Dn, they will gain in quality with less band-width. ![]() |
