Silver Member Username: Sjain80Post Number: 174 Registered: Jun-06 | ok I have a question also..I have dish500 with yoke adapter. I am trying to switch 119 lnb with118/119 lnb. Problem is that new lnb doesn't fit in yoke lnb holder. I put it somehow and getting channels on 119 but not able to pick interenation channel on 118( I have tried all frequency setting). So my question is: Can I use dish500 to get 118/119 and 110. If yeah, what are suggestion on lnb holder. If I should think about replacing my dish, is dish1000- a good replacement.I am trying to get both international and local channels..and I don't want to keep spending money in dish replacement again and again. |

Platinum Member Username: NydasPost Number: 16052 Registered: Jun-06 | Also transelectronic have a 24" dish specially designed for 118.7 - It is on their main page. I don't know if it works. In any case, you nust get a special LNB otherwise it will not work to the fullest extent.
Silver Member Username: Sjain80Post Number: 177 Registered: Jun-06 | Thanks nalin, I have someone coming over to install a 500 plus dish. I called this installer and he said the same thing as you did. Hopefully this is the last time I would be spending on changing dish. I told him to go ahead and put all 4 (119-118-110-129hd) lnbs so that I don't have to call him again..lol..thanks for the help..
Silver Member Username: Sjain80Post Number: 178 Registered: Jun-06 | also, any suggestions to what would be better choice..500 or 1000 plus.
Platinum Member Username: NydasPost Number: 16059 Registered: Jun-06 | I think you have unknowingly ordered a 1000 plus installation. "As a 500+ it picks up 110W, 118.75W and 119W. Adding an LNB for 129W makes it a 1000+. " |
