Silver Member Username: Sjain80Post Number: 165 Registered: Jun-06 | hey sada, I am not done with dish setting yet. It was late night and I need to install the dual lnb(ku/circular) on my 119. I was still using old 61.5 and now there is nothing there..so I am going to use 110 lnb and dual lnb for 118.8 and 119. what do you think and then I have to change by wiring also...so hopefully by tomorrow I should have my hook up..thanks for asking though. |
Gold Member Username: Saqeeb9000Post Number: 5887 Registered: Oct-07 | shawn i hope u know that u need bigger dish for 118.8 with 118.8 dish u will be able to get 119 so i beleive u will have 2 dishes now are u going to have 1 dish with 2 lnb or two dishes with 2 lnb? u need diseqc switch 4*4 u can use 1 and 2 port for 118.8 and 119 and 3rd port for 110 |
Silver Member Username: Sjain80Post Number: 166 Registered: Jun-06 | really..the guy who usually helps me out said that dish network dish will work without any problem. he just said that swap the 119 lnb with the dual lnb(118.8 and 119) and it will be ok. I will have one dish with two lnbs one for 110 and other one dual(118.8 and 119)..is that right...how big the dish should be anyway... |
Gold Member Username: Saqeeb9000Post Number: 5889 Registered: Oct-07 | atleast 33 inch depends on location u need special lnb (circular lnb) in order to watch 118.8 something like this http://www.worldwidesatellites.com/catalog/product_info.php?products_id=250 this lnb will get u 119 and 118.8 for 110 either u can put a bracket or use the other dish.. |
Silver Member Username: Sjain80Post Number: 167 Registered: Jun-06 | yeah I have same kind of lnb..and my dish is 32-33 inch..but I will try out and see if that works..will post update..thanks for the help.. |

You will need a simple bracket. I guarantee it works. Then you need two diseqC switches as close to the LNBs as possible (1- 10 feet is fine) and you are ready for two receivers inside the house. If you have only one receiver you will need only one DisEqC. It would be nice but not necessary to put the 118/119 on input port 1 of the DiseqC and 110 to the Port 2 input. Your DisEqc will still have two input ports vacnt for two more sats, e.g. you can have your second 18-20" Dish point to 91W and the LNB output to Port 3 of DieEqc. Reception of Nimiq1 is usually satisfactory up to 2/3 way down south from the USA/Canadian border. Best of luck. |

Is there a way if the remote can also be used to control TV as my sonicview remote was doing?" Answer is yes WITH YOR TV ON try scan code - Press TV and OK at same time for few seconds (notice TV LED on remote stays ON) - Press Arrow up once - Press channel up one at a time until yor TV turns OFF - Then Press OK to activate Scan code I find this way faster than looking up any code from the chart Hey Sada Did yo try K-hub with Kbox-Pro? I didn't know they are compatible How reliable is K-box Vs Nfusion in terms of stability? The reason why I'm asking I see Nfusion coming out with newer bins more often I don't have neither Nfusion nor Kbox But I do have Khub to try on my Visionsat which of-course didn't work I'm thinking to test Kbox-Pro with that K-hub I got |
Gold Member Username: Saqeeb9000Post Number: 5892 Registered: Oct-07 | lol king king i don't have pro, i got plus there are several models of khub now i think newer model is working with pro and older model should work too, kbox is very stable compare to nfusion, nfusion phonenix and solaris might be stable now as they knocked out nova, so millions are out.. so u can guess less load on servers, kbox does go out once in avg of 4-5 hrs and just simple reset by unpluging and plugging the khub back get u back to what were u watching compare pic quality compare to solaris and phonenix kbox is still uncompareable, lack of usb feature for nfusion lack of pvr in nfuion solaris and phoneix put nfusion behind k1pro/plus |

Gold Member Username: TapemanNew York Citay in-HD, NY Post Number: 4390 Registered: Oct-06 | John In order to control yor TV yo must press TV button and OK button on yor remote at same time for like 3-5 seconds TV LED should stay ON upon depressing both buttons If it doesn't stay ON then it's not set right So I'm not sure which step yo didn't apply WITH YOR TV ON (This is called Scan Code) - From yor remote Press TV button and OK button at same time for 5 seconds (notice TV LED on remote stays ON as yo release'm) - From yor remote Press Arrow up once (not the channel) - Still from yor remote Now Press channel UP one at a time until yor TV turns OFF - As soon as yor TV turns OFF then Press OK to activate Scan code IT SHOULD WORK LIKE A CHARM And pretty much on all universal remotes not just K-box I think yo are not following the steps or yor remote control may not pointed to TV well enough Feel free to ask if yo still not working But provide more details Like LED won't stay ON etc. |

Silver Member Username: PeggPost Number: 123 Registered: Aug-06 | John, For me it worked without pressing the channel button. Instead of a channel button, I pressed the upper arrow one at a time until the TV goes off. i then pressed ok. |
