I have never understood Nfusion well. How does it work with the internet, does it need to be hooked up constantly and is it safe? The other question is that did they crack the N3? Thanks so much and I appreciate any help on this.
I don't think you want too. just like an aspirin, a temporary relief.
DirecTV, Bell Express and Dish Network have shut down the Big Boys Next will be these little guys that are out for a fast buck. Don't waste your money, do a Subscription until FTA TV is back..
The above reply by Field Marshal " Monty" makes a lot of sense. If you want your entertainment and news in a sensible way without interruption, that is the way to do it.
downloadin a bin is legal... buying an fta box is legal. connecting a box to server that its sole purpose is giving u unauthorized programming is not. And ur IP addy sits on that server all day and all night. I said it before, if n3 isn cracked soon, more will use IKS, THEN, u will see them going after those servers. And there is ZERO chance of getting out of it At least with PTA u have a good chance of getting out of it.
IKS are fta receivers with add ons that allow them to connect to the internet. When doing this you must be connected all the time and there is much more legal issues with going down this route. IKS receivers are boxes like nfusion neosat and kbox. Nfusion has had a lot of legal issues and nfusion nova no longer is supported which has leftmost IKs users unsupported. IKS is not FTA and NO IKS is working on all of nag3 only a very small amount of channels are working on IKS. Some bev and dish channels are working on IKS systems. IKS systems are not as good as standalone fta . IKS has legal issues IP address is exposed IKS does not have NAG3 fix IKS is not100% working or bug free , IKS needs internet plugged into the receiver at all times. Thanks Oleg Ph.D
I'm not sure how downloading a bin is illegal, just because nobody has gotten into trouble I'm not sure how that's legal. If the argument is that I downloaded it, doesn't mean I use it. Then those people who download thousands of MP3 and are in court should use the exact argument.
I prefer standalone myself, but when nothing works IKS is great. The best I believe are boxes that support both like sonicview and kbox.
I will never buy a box that doesn't support both standalone and IKS. It's nice to have an alternative to standalone if it goes down even if you prefer standalone and when there's a big sports even coming up and your standalone isn't working. A few years ago my standalone box wasn't working when N2 came out, but the IKS boxes were able to watch some UFC events. If I could connect to the IKS server for a few hours, boy would I have been happy.
Second I think it's nice to use your remote to download a bin even if you prefer standalone. I can't tell you how nice it is not to get off the couch to connect to a server and check for a new bin, instead of going to the computer, going to a website, downloading a bin, putting it on the USB, SDCard, or null cable and then flashing the box.
I just feel with no Internet technology those FTA boxes seem to be way behind even like I said if you prefer standalone mode.
Like I said I wouldn't buy a box that doesn't offer IKS, I wouldn't buy a box that only offers IKS. Nfusion stopped supporting standalone mode years ago, while sonicview and kbox support both.
There's many reasons why I wouldn't buy an nfusion. 1) only supports IKS 2) PVR isn't good 3) They stopped supporting nova and who know what they will stop supporting now
With a kbox, when standalone starts working, I just have to change an option with my remote control.
