The following URL is for a vehicle and it specifies it can receive 91W, 101W, 110W, 119W, and 129W and it sells for nearly $900

However no such dish is needed to receive XM radio from car at 115W.

Can someone shed some light on why one needs a complex dish of this nature for birds at 110 or 119. Whereas to get XM signal from 115 W a simple antenna is sufficient?

It's designed so you can take a satellite TV receiver on a 'camping trip' .

It is in motion not stationary, no need to pay that kind of money for a dish if you are camping and want to watch TV.

It appears to be designed to track a satellite while you are driving down a highway, automatically compensating for the vehicle's movement.

Interesting, but not worth the price.... To me, anyway. Heh...

If you don't understand the question stay away from the thread.

It was directed at testers.

Why a simple antenna in a moving vehicle can pick up XM radio signals from satellite and why a complex mechanism is needed to pick up TV signals from satellites.

Shenanigans is right!

This dish is for put on roof of car and auto-track the satellite by itself.
It work with a GPS system and Gyroscope.
