New member Username: TvtroublesolutionSan Diego, California USA Post Number: 4 Registered: Jun-09 | Hi Robert, I was looking around the web and I found this, according to an article on howstuffworks.com your JVC HD-ILA TV is based on LCOS technology, if your picture has a red background then the problem may be one of the LCOS color chips which are located inside the light engine. This link shows you the schematic of the LCOS RPTV light engine; it shows how the light passes thru the color chips: http://www.oerlikon.com/ecomaXL/index.php?site=OPTICS_EN_lcos_rptv_light_engine I also found that if one of the LCOS color chips has a bad driver then this could also cause the red background.
