Question about International channels

I was receiving the international channels on 61.5, I know they were moved to another satellite.
My questions are:
what satellite are they on now?
do I need a new dish for them, or the dish I used for the 61.5 will do?
by repositionning the dish, what should I scan for?

You need Sat 118 which usually requires a 30 inch dish.

what's Sat 118 ? is that echostar 9? I read somewhere the channels moved to 148 west. I'm specifically looking for the Arabic channels. thanks

118.8 or (118.7) is another bird.
Look at www.lyngsat com for all the channels that are available you will want to look at 61.5 and 148 also.

118 does not carry Arabic channels, is that correct? so which satellite carries them now after the switch to N3, i know it was 61.5

Get Globecast on Galaxy 19 97.0W with a Linear LNB, many Arabic channels are available on this bird.

If you list the channels you want, it will be easy to answer you.

Al jazeera (english) is available on Globecast in free to air with a 33" dish.

Thanks Plymouth and Rico, but the channels I'm looking for are the ones Dish Network carried on 61.5 and were moved to another Sat when N3 was introduced. thank u

What receiver are you using? I believe some of those channels can be received with an internet link an special boxes. I am not sure it is worth the investment at this point in time.

I have an SV 360 elite with the Ihub connected, a new file was just released in the last hour or so.

I switched to 148 and got the "no video or audio" message even with signals. Now, after a couple of days, I am getting a couple of the channels but not the others?

what channels are you getting? I found a link for Dish Network where they have many channels on 118.8 degrees west but not what those channels are. 118.8 west is Anik F3 as Rico mentioned before.
