Sunday, June 07, 2009 - 12:39 GMT It's failing cuz yo are pointing to 99W ESPN Airport is on 99W If yo want 101W AMC4 yo have to move dish very slightly by 2 degrees clockwise This should do it

Monday, June 08, 2009 - 03:20 GMT Silver You must set the Skew (LNB angle) on a linear LNB for get maximum signal. Use this for aimed your dish and LNB angle(skew): http://satcalculator.freehostia.com/

Monday, June 08, 2009 - 04:54 GMT I've had so many similar problems with VU-sat tuners Use another reliable receiver to get the signal Then do blind scan using the VU-sat I use birdog to find any sat VU-sat is not the best receiver to locate a satellite in installation unless yo are pointed right on it Especially on H transponders Also there is a lot of satellite activities in recent days making pointing dish a bit challenging This is what I would try if I were yo: - Select TP 12120 Pol=V S/R= 30000 FEC= 3/4 or auto - Get the highest signal level by adjusting dish pointing - Make sure your skew is according to yor geographical location like plymouth tell yo - Do blind scan When yor signal is jumping up and down it means the combination of yor LNB settings, yor pointing, and internal frequency don't match Typical installation mismatch error

Monday, June 08, 2009 - 20:38 GMT Plymouth means a 'TREE' fahan , why don't you use www.ftalist.com , find active transponder for amc4 , select that tp in your settings and aim your dish with the assistance of www.dishpointer.com If you blind scan and only get a ESPN feed , then i would say you are not aimed at the correct sat.

Monday, June 08, 2009 - 20:57 GMT im honestly starting to get pissed off now The quality keeps flickering from 0 to 40 and back and forth...... Gotta use something different to point besides the VS Like I told yo One time I used a birdog and I was pointed exactly at 97W But that stupid VS kept flickering on me like crazy The VS tuner is screwed up Yo can try load the V0279 [link removed] Might work better for pointing Or simply use something else Also Vertical Tps are easier to get than Horizontal TPs with FTA receivers

Monday, June 08, 2009 - 21:26 GMT Silver, You can find this satellite with your receiver. Don't let KT discourage you. Use dishpointer com and use the Google map to find a landmark to point your dish to. It is pretty darn accurate. Not everyone can afford a Birddog.

Monday, June 08, 2009 - 23:09 GMT Silver First if you add the Tp and Pid channel and put the receiver on this Tp you must be able to get the signal. Are you sure that you have set the skew correctly? You must use a satellite finder for best result, warning many cheap satellite finder doesn,t have amplifier built-in, so don't buy the cheaper.

Wednesday, June 10, 2009 - 21:09 GMT Have you tried to connect the fortec and see if will lock onto the signal? On the same sat with a captiveworks i have the same problem , except its TP 11983 quality goes from 0 to 50% and back to 0 constantly , yet that TP works fine on other receivers.

Thursday, June 11, 2009 - 03:42 GMT "the thing is i have the VS connected to 119 and 61.5" Yo can always reflash it back Also avoid using DISEqC switch Go straight from LNB to receiver by using a female to female coupler Once yo get nice signal level then yo can reflash back and reconnect back D-Switch So far yo have no idea if yor pointed correctly to the center of the beam and VU-sat tuners are pain in the butt when they are flashed for Na*gra

Saturday, June 13, 2009 - 22:39 GMT Silver - First delete Sat Make sure yo are not using AMC 4/C If yo do not have 101 AMC4 KU Then create satellite with its Tp 12033 H - Second turn on Beep option >>Menu>>User Setting>>Option>>Change Beep for Scanning Option to ON - Yor settings should be LNB Type to Standard (standard means Standard KU) Do not use Universal LNB Freq= 10750 TP Freq= 12033 H Do it without D-Switch in yor connection Straight from LNB to Receiver Aim and point dish for highest level Keep in mind H polarity are bit difficult to point Use patience
