can you use a "small dish" (the same size for dish network that picks up 110 and 119) for dish network HD programming? also, are all dish network HD channels on one satellite? if not would i need another LNB?

thanks for your time.

the smaller dish is good for picking up two sats near each other...ie 110 and 119...if u want the main sats w/ HD and still get 110 and 119, you will need to at a 3rd lnb to your set up...and you can still pick up all 3 with the smaller round dish...that's how i have it set up...so i get 110 119 and i believe it's 129 as well...or, i also believe there are triple lnb's out there that can pick up all three...i personally have a single lnb and a double to get my 3 sats

ok cool. would you recommend me buying a reciever these days with all this niagra 3 stuff....also, is the hd 129 or 61.5?

can you buy recievers with just HD no PVR (which i assume would be more cheaper...)

personally, I would hold off and see how things go before investing in a new rcvr...especially the HD capable rcvrs which, when u add the HD card, get pretty expensive...until u see something that says Nag3 is cracked, i wouldn't sink any cash into it, and yes, most of the HD rcvrs are just that, i'm sure some of the people on the forum know more about rcvrs that have both...a few of them have a usb port where u can connect with an external hard drive and record onto the hard drive ... i believe both of the sats u mentioned have HD programming, but from what i've read, the HD channels are starting to go to Nag3 and well, the rcvrs will be worthless as far as HD goes until a crack comes through...from what i've read...oh, and of course, if u want 129 and 61.5, you'll need to different dishes i believe, unless there is some extravagant set up out there that people could fill u in on ... i don't know of one
