I have direct Tv and plan on getting an HDTV reciever. I was thinking Sony we610 LCD But I heard its not as good for watching hockey. What do you guys suggest? Trying to keep everything sony like the rest of my system but I'm willing to do whatever it takes.

not good for wacthing hockey well then what can u wacth with it if your direct tv has hdtv support then it will be fine sony is know for its tvs to so dont lose any sleep over it u should be able to wacth hocky fine

Even though I like the Sony we610, it has trouble following the fast motion of the puck. DLP was worse as I saw the rainbow effect when I moved my eyes fast across the screen. HiFiBuys said a new 3 chip version of DLP is coming out that has no color wheel or rainbow effect. Sounded expensive to me.

Thats my biggest concern. I guess the people that really watch hockey know what I mean- to the others they just think I'm being picky.
