Nfusion still dont get PPV or P@rn either. These are the bev channels you can get. If there is no fix for N3 then does this mean that bev's channels listed above are not N3 encryption? |

Gold Member Username: GregrafPost Number: 2183 Registered: Dec-07 | C/P from JM Nfusion did not hack Nagra 3 After having to read all these Bullchit announcements around the net, I thought I would put together a brief layout of what the Nfusion has done and why it is NOT a hack. First let me start off by explaining a couple of things. Your TV signal is encrypted before it leaves the uplink center from your TV provider. The signal is gathered by your satellite dish and the beam is focused to the lnb. The signal travels down the coax cable to your receiver where the smart card and Conditional Access Module (CAM) process or decrypt the signal and you get video and audio on your TV. The security of the system is in the CAS. A providers CAS compromises of a Conditional Access Module (CAM) and a card. Some CAS only has smart card elements and other only CAM but it is assumed that the CAS has both elements in respect to the discussion of abstract security. Fta receivers and bin files A fta receiver does what is called emulation. Emulation is in the BIN files you load to your receivers and basically means the software loaded into the fta receiver can now process or do the functionality of CAMs and smart cards in a providers receiver. This is sometimes called "stand alone". Fta receiver and card sharing: A person with the subscribed card runs a Card Server on their reconfigured open receiver and listens for client communication on a given port (Here is the only risk with IKS but it is a huge one because it must get your REAL information. I.E serial # and IP). Entitlement Management Messages (EMMs) and Entitlement Control Messages (ECMs) are sent by the clients to the server which in turn decrypts and returns the control words used to scramble the content. The server carries out a unilateral authentication of the clients using the legitimate card and continues to exchange ECMs and EMMs allowing clients to access encoded DVB programs without subscriptions. The Card Server gives each client a thread and this is the only limiting factor of the network. The Server can only support as many clients as the card allows. The risk or flaws of IKS/cardsharing. The flaw with card sharing Nag3 (or ANY of the newer forms of encryption) is the card has knowledge of behavioral contracts and once violated it would deny services to the accessing box. In other words, the provider has a way to see how the card is behaving and send alerts when it see something that isn't right. So it limits the number of people who can be connected to the card server at one time. So there was NO hack of Nagra 3 by the Nfusion. What there was, is a PUBLIC test of the limitations of a card share sever. Nothing more then a sales tactic. DO NOT be fooled into thinking Nagra 3 is hacked wide open or even close at this point. Nagra3 is hacked in Europe but ONLY small servers doing card share and no emulation bins are running at this time. __________________ |
