Bronze Member Username: MajkPost Number: 56 Registered: Nov-05 | Background: The PUFF bins are nearing the upper limits of the memory capacity of the 2500 boxes. That means that boxes that have the couple of extra bits of memory available work ok with the new 204 Bin but most converted boxes get stuck on"F" simply because there's not enough memory available to run the processes. A working solution: The best known way of clearing all the junk for the memory is to reconvert to PUFF. Therefore, after my box got stuck of "F" a couple of times, I ran the PUFF 1.0.1 conversion once again to clear the memory as best as I could and then reloaded the new 204PUFF Bin and the box rebooted all the way to "ON". I then loaded my saved channel list using Channel Master and am back to watching TV. Free TVers can wait for a new improved Bin if the want but you testers out there can get cracking and try this solution on your own boxes and report back on this thread if possible. Good luck. |

Bronze Member Username: Cover_pointPost Number: 23 Registered: Jan-08 | Deleted all Channells. Did a Reset by selecting "System Reset" Loaded the 204 PUFF BIN. Result: It is stuck on "F". Question: Where can I find the PUFF 1.0.1 conversion Deki is talking about? |

Platinum Member Username: NydasPost Number: 13915 Registered: Jun-06 | PUFF_204 flash problem '" Full kit for fixing the problem. Use UKR's Flash FixUse at your own risk. Alternative FlashFix link Download and unzip into separate directory. PLEASE DO NOT ATTEMPT WITHOUT READING INSTRUCTIONS. This is a last resort method |
Silver Member Username: Popol_vuhPost Number: 101 Registered: Jan-08 | Confirmed working fine: Use the 101 bootloader that you can find at FTAbins, which will replace the standard PUFF bootloader. This one puffpuffs continuously. From there directly load the latest bin like you usually do. The stb will be empty at this time and will ask for setup (nice background BTW). Load your previously saved channel list using gtromloader. That's it! |

DO NOT LOAD LATEST 204 WOTHOUT DELETING ALL CHANNELS FIRST, AND RESETTING. I just did that and it is working... Please Just, first delete all channels and do a reset, and load 204 bin...then re-add channels with channel master...That is what I did.... |
Silver Member Username: JkmagoPost Number: 270 Registered: Nov-07 | Just need two bins and download from Nalin website UKR Flash fix and Fwank 204 PUFF First run UKR Flashfix and wait for PUFF to appear and then switch off and switch on and hit write as soon as p appears and wait for On to appear, do antenna setting and Blind scan Cheers! |
Platinum Member Username: NydasPost Number: 13921 Registered: Jun-06 | DO NOT LOAD LATEST 204 WITHOUT DELETING ALL CHANNELS FIRST, AND RESETTING. ALSO AS OFTEN AS YOU CAN DURING INSTALLATION, BETWEEN TWO PROCEDURES, TURN RECEIVER OFF AND ON AFTER 40 SECONDS This helps in clearing the memeory. |
