Mitsubishi VS-5044 - need to clean ( I think)

Hi,
I have a Mitsubishi vs-5044 rear projection tv that seems very washed out color-wise. I have read about cleaning other models and was wondering if this was something I could do with mine? Any help would be greatly appreciated.
