Silver Member Username: AddtempPost Number: 202 Registered: Oct-07 | if its IPTV that means the content is streamed over internet. Won't that take bandwidth from you internet when your TV is on. Also how much internet bandwidth it will consume on monthly basis.
Gold Member Username: TapemanNew York Citay in-HD, NY Post Number: 3895 Registered: Oct-06 | Of course it would take away bandwidth Right now these boxes run about 1 or 2 Mega pixels per second Far less than Satellites that use 5 or 6 Mbps for SD I have 15Mbps using Cablevision It wouldn't be a problem for me But will be an issue with users with slower rate I do't think IPTV is any good for today's high speed internet It will take easy 5 years to take away satellites options I heard AT&T coming up with best IPTV choice better than Verizon FIOS Don't waste time or moey on these toys At least for now |

Your internet provider watches the quantity of megabytes you download. And IPTV gobbles a lot of that !!! So be extremely careful because if you bust your allowed quota, it cost a lot !!!! You won't go to jail. You only will have to pay more to your Internet Service Provider. |

Silver Member Username: BernardmiPost Number: 308 Registered: Dec-07 | Oh and you can save $200 by not buying the box. You can receive IPTV on your PC as well. If you have Windows Media Center on your PC, just hook it to your TV and subscribe to the IPTV services.
