Hi I read some of your post and found your comment really interesting.

You were saying that the HD FTA won't provide a real HD experience and that a blu-ray player would enhance the picture more than these HD FTA.

I was thinking of buying one of those HD FTA but you made me reconsider

My LCD tv resolution 720P/1080i and my fta receiver is cw-800, would adding a blu-ray player really improve my picture quality more than buying a CW-4000 or a Sonicview 360 HD

Thanks for your help

I wrote many posts against HD FTA receivers
Many people will always disagree
But I always express my personal opinion

Current HD FTA were built for 720pHD which was first introduced about 8 years ago
At present time there is no 720PHD/MPEG-2 FTA
Last was B#V until they recently switched to Nagra*3
D#N to my estimate got about 6 weeks +/- 10 days take or give
Plus it will need yo to spend another $150 for 8PSK Module that will last yo few days
It will be cheaper to subscribe to D#N HD Turbo for $25/month

So purchasing HD FTA receivers now days is like buying christmas trees in January

Yor current Standard Definition FTA can be easily connected to yor blu-ray player for better upscale to best video quality

I have a visionsat which is 480i
I upscale it to 1080i on my Panasonic Plasma
The picture is outstanding
Much better than my other VU-sat crap

If yo have a pixilation issue on yor HDTV
Make sure yo ask me
Do not PM me
I don't usually respond to PM
Half of them from White Hawk
