The majority of BEV switch to Nagra 3 is on Nimiq 4 which has replaced Nimiq 2 at 82W and the USA people will have a double problems - one associated with Nagra 3 switch and another associated with the narrow beam that reaches upto North Carolina.
On 91W the main switch to Nagra 3 is in certain sports channels. The other switches to Nagra 3 are not too relevant as there are alternatives.
Yesterday I went and looked at a FTA receiver with latest BIN and saw hundreds of channels working on 91W.

It doesn't matter if its a 50 foot dish..nagra 3 is here and coming fast...I beleive within 2 weeks its 100% implemented, ALL channels...they're hitting premium channels now (HBO, Cinemax etc), next it'll be the core channels (USA, TNT, TBS etc) , and then locals..so nim 2 or nim 4, won't matter...

I think it's safe to say that we don't need to update the list any longer.
Most all channels are gone, some 600's are left and some in the lower numbers, like 50 and up....

Have a nfusion and was enjoying Dishnet. Just switched to BEV on the weekend to get some CDN content. Tried unsuccessfully to pick up both satellites. Noticed BEV channels were dropping off so did some research (this site). So what happens with BEV now? Maybe need to get back on the roof and go back to Dishnet.

I will be FORCED.... to carry on my Spanish learning experience using pure FTA on Hispasat !

For the rest, good ole rabbit ears until someone figure out how to break N3.

After quite a lot of reading, it appears that this is not going to occur for a good while.... Unless you plug into an IKS server. Scary !

Forgive me for sounding dumb, but I'm starting to get the idea, I have to move my satellite to a different setting? ( remember, some of us have jobs,and people to take care of, and can't be online all day) Is this correct? There are services on Craigslist that will come and do it for me.

You won't get much on BEV at 91W or at 82W. You should get somebody to point it to DN at 110W and/or 119W.

Thanks.. We are going to try Nimiq4, ( we were on Nimiq1) because we want the Canadian channels. The weather is miserable here. I think I'll hire someone.

Hi! Nalin,

Which direction should I change my dish inorder to get BEV and dishnet as the channels as moved to Nagra 3. My dish is in 91W and 82W now. Also I am not getting the Indian channels from 61.5. Pls advise.

You have to move further west by exactly 28 degrees to get DN 119W and 110W. Note the 9 degree difference in the two sats exactly the same as for BEV.
For Indian channels on 61.5W, you should have a separate dish, and a DiseqC switch to get all three.
There is the alternative of putting the current 20" dish to point only for 110 and use a new 33" dish with a special LNB for 118.7W (Anik 3) which has many more Indian Channels than 61.5W. The cost would be about $70-90 plus installation cost. there is every likelyhood of DN going the Nagravision 3 route by end of January, 2009, so you have to decide whether to spend additional money at this point.

BEV won't be available fr a while.
You can swing your dish to point to 110/119 for Echo 10/11 and Echo 7
