Hello all, I'm trying to get BEV sats at 82 and 91 with Dish 500. So far I got 91 only. I has a pretty strong signal and quality. But, 82 has strong signal but no quality. I did everything according to SatCalculator located here: http://satcalculator.freehostia.com/
I don't know what's wrong. I live in northern California near Sacramento. Any help will be greatly appreciated. Thanks.
Nimiq 2 is off and Nimiq 4 is on. It has a narrower beam and more HD channels. You will get some channels in Norther California, but probably with a bigger dish.
I've got a Directv WorldDirect 36" Dish. Will that work? The only thing about this dish is that Dish 500 yoke kinda doesn't fit. Any suggestions will be appreciated.
LIGER, Hey.. buddy I'm ur neighbor. I'm sailing in the same boat. Recently, I did lost my nimiq 2... every one tired to help me here. They suggested me to use 36" dish. Tomorrow I'm gonna try that. Lets see if that helps. I will let you guys know.
Nalin.. I do have question for you. when you say nimiq 2 is nimiq 4 now . Do I need to get nimq 4 at the setting ? My rec shows nimiq 2. It has to be changed to nimiq 4 OR nimq 2 is fine???
Bell TV on Nimiq 2/4 at 82.0A°W No change is needed in the settings. The only difference is thta the broadcast is from Nimiq 4 and is a conus - ie. a narrow beam. Apparently they want Americans to use DN and not Bev!!!
Listen...Bev is moving most all channels to Nagra 3 and narrowed their spotbeamed footprint with Nim 4 from the old Nim 2, so don't expect Bev in the US...its that simple!...Nagra 3 is not going away, no matter what LNB or dish ya have..

Hey devin Iam not here to discourage you or anyone else. Your time your money. Iam only saying that if Nagravision 3 is not hacked I don't care if you use a 20' dish. If you care to think different, just fine with me friend.
Devin my neighbor buddy, go for BEV. You'll learn from your experience. Don't bother what critics have to say. For everything else there's a MasterCard, but knowledge is priceless. You go ahead for knowledge. I support you.
Nalin, Sorry, I got late for posting the latest info. Actually, It took very long for me set up the dish. I was missing some hardware. Had to run back and forth. I pesonally think I didin't spent enough time on pointung the dish. I will continue after work tomorrow. Will be back. I thank you for reminding me.
Huh?...something is definitely wrong here...all is NOT what it appears...somebody who posts here, seeking help to get TV, doesn't need to be "reminded" what to do to fix it!

Now there is a True FTA Tester. After 12,588 posts and two & half years here he reminds devin, a newbie to see if he could pickup Nimiq 4 with his 36" dish.and if my grandma had balls I would call her grandpa

Deven has made a detailed inquiry and I have too and it seems that nimiq 4 can reach North carolina and there are reports of it reaching North california. So I suggest YOU SHUT UP and when you have read the results of his testing, put your tail between your legs and run back to the site where you came from and don't come back here.
