Hello everyone, I am a newbie here. I have a viewsat ultra pointed at 61.5 to get south asian channels. I only have one receiver and one lnb which is connected straight to the receiver. I have uploaded the latest bin and I did several tests to get the international channels. My signal strength is about 80% which I think is good enough to see the channels. I did auto scan, blind scan choosing Echostar 3 as my satalite. I am getting most of the international channels except Sony, SET Max and TV Asia for some reason. When I do the scan, I get these channels in the guide but I cannot get the pictures, It just says "Searching Signal". Can someone tell me what I am doing wrong here. Below are my settings in the antenna set up: Sat: Echo 3 LNB Power: On LNB Type: Standard LNB Freq: 11250 22KHz: Off TP Freq: 12297 Diseq: None Motor : Off Legacy Sw: None
Vp The first thing to do is deleted this satellite in Channel Scan with the garbage can (to prevent duplicated channels) and go in sat menu then do the setting in 61.5W then do a autoscan. and check if those channels are there.
some transponders have changed change your transponder freq to 12326 and re scan you will get a couple of double channels but don't worry about it,because it will be fixed with new files.also on the double channels,one will work and the other will not work
I had been receiving TV5 Monde USA for 2 years on Echo 3 Plymouth. I know it dis-appeared from the Lyngsat list though. I unfortunately cannot go on anything lower than 100 West due to heavy forest behind my house.
I will have to live with TV5 Canada I guess with less quality and with the added commercials... Damn CRTC !
Africanbrit the transponder frequency I have in my Viewsat is already 12326 with 15 stations on that transponder I am already receiving. Repeating scan does not help.
Thanks for your prompt reply guys. I followed the steps given by 'plymouth' and it worked. I deleted the satellite in Channel Scan and re-scanned and it worked. Now I am getting all the international channels I wanted, Thanks a lot Plymouth. The only problem is that the picture freezes alot with just one channels(TV Asia). Satellite signal for this channel is about 76%, do you think I should readjust my sat? I get around 80% signal on other channels.
