Here is the loader: http://www.kashbrand.com/files/ViewsatPVR_Loader_ultra_platinum_extreme.zip Factory bin: http://www.kashbrand.com/files/VIEWSAT_ULTRA_V0132.zip power "on with switch on back panel then wait 1 to 3 secondes and load the file. That cant take many times for load, just retry until it load. Load latest file and blind scan all satellites |

Gold Member Username: PlymouthCanada Post Number: 4868 Registered: Jan-08 | thehoov You must try with different delay. When you see first display lighted click for load. I had recovered many Dead Ultra with it, sometimes it take 40 times for it. All is in the timing that you load. |
Gold Member Username: PlymouthCanada Post Number: 4869 Registered: Jan-08 | You can try to press and hold front power and power on on back panel then release front button Sometimes i use PVR loader to force the program then use the good loader. |

Gold Member Username: PlymouthCanada Post Number: 4872 Registered: Jan-08 | thehoov If you have a serial port you must use a Null cable for Viewsat. A USB to serial can work if you have a good software with it. |
Silver Member Username: DimwittPost Number: 968 Registered: Aug-06 | copy/paste ultra stuck in loop of boot?? The chaninfo.cha file has to be loaded first with the null cable. Then the VIEWSAT_ULTRA_V131.pgm file, then the latest bin and then the latest satinfo.sat file. the chaninfo.cha file has to be the first one. Not a channel list. problems with the boot continue to cycle through. Open file with loader2 and use cable to load channel file onto problem ultra. This will allow you to load the latest file through cable or usb. Hope it helps the V131 file is in the ultra factory files thread in the files forum.. ----------------------------------------------- |

Platinum Member Username: NydasPost Number: 12372 Registered: Jun-06 | Viewsat Ultra has a USB port, but in certain situations you may not be able to use it. In that case you will have to use the older method of serial load using a NULL Modem cable. 1. If USB drive works through menu, that is the best route. 2. If your computer has a 9 PIN serial port, use it with a DB9 FF NULL Modem cable. 3. If your computer is a newer model without serial port, you can use a USB port with a USB to serial convertor. For these you must make sure you buy one with its own driver CD or installation CD for XP. for Vista it might be a more difficult situation. 4. If you still have problems with USB to serial convertor, go into Device Manager and make sure you set the COM port to COM 1, 2 ,3 or 4, and select accordingly in the loader software. 5. a neighbour with an old computer could help with his computer and the serial help |
