Hi.
I just recently got Pansat 2700A and i am having trouble downloading bin file to it.

I have got X-87BL Loader v27.02 [X-87BL] loader and X-87BL_080928_B75_292_api.bin file.

When i connect COM port and click on download button, it just says downloading.. and doesnt do anything after that..

What is the exact sequence required to load program for this receiver?

Thanks in advance..

did you put the bin in where it says next to the blank space bin file?
Is the power on for the receiver?
Is the cable properly connected?
IS it the right cable?

connect 2700 to computer with null cable.

run loader 27.02 , select bin tab on loader , find the latest bin file that you have downloaded and extracted from .zip and select it.

select proper comm port.

turn on 2700, wait till it shows ON or a channel then hit download.

wait till it reboots, disconnect and take to tv

reg:
1. You need a DB9 RS232 Null Modem cable.
2. The file must be unzipped - you are going t use the current .bin file
3. Receiver is OFF.
4. Start the loader.
5. Select the .bin file, and select BIN not boot to load into your receiver. Do NOT turn on power yet.
6. There are two methods of loading the BIN.
...a) Be ready to click "write bin". Turn on the switch at back - b-7-5 will apeear. As soon as the b appears, click on write BIN.
Wait for the load to finsh and wait for "BURN " to fifinish. Many failures are because the process is aborted before the BURN is finished.
...b) If the above does not work, you can try and click on write and a the same time turn the receiver ON.

If b-7-5 does not appear then install the 200 or 201 combination Boot/BIN, and then the latest BIN.

You will need to do User setup and Scan after the BIN load.

Fortec cables are staight RS232. Pansat 2700 and VS cables are RS232 Null Modem Cables.
Good that you got going.

What's the latest bin for the Pansat 3500? Is it still 411? Or is the 412 out?

WY IS THAT RECOMENDATION TO TURN OFF THE RECIVER FOR DOWNLOAD A BIN FILE.
ON PANSAT 2700A IF YOU TURN IT OFF YOU WOULD HAVE TO RE-SCAN FOR CHANNAL`S
PANSAT 2700A
PANSAT 2800
PANSAT 3500SD
DONT NEED TO BE TURN OFF, LOADER CAN START WELL.}

For saving channels and reloading them, use Channel Master software from
http://www.sharpc.com
It is free and easy to use. Saves you rescanning.

Load the bin correctly and you don't have to start over with every new bin.
------------------------------------------------
connect 2700 to computer with null cable.

run loader 27.02 , select bin tab on loader , find the latest bin file that you have downloaded and extracted from .zip and select it.

select proper comm port.

*** turn on 2700, wait till it shows ON or a channel then hit download ***.

wait till it reboots, disconnect and take to tv
----------------------------------------------

you can save your channel list with loader 27.02 - select channel data and upload
