Bronze Member Username: Link119805Post Number: 11 Registered: Sep-08 | Hello... I have 3 DN500s. I need to setup: 1 DN500 for 110/119. 1 DN500 for 61.5. 1 DN500 for 118.5 (if this is possible). I have 4 PANSAT receivers. 1 of them a 9200HD. I also have a DP44 switch. I would like to use a DUAL (meaning 2 receivers) or a better yet a single DP LNBs. I have heard that using TWIN LNBs through a Dp34 and DP44 switches will cause issues/not work. Is this correct? Can I use a single LNB for the 118.5 and which one? Will all this work through the dp44? Any other recommendations? |

Bronze Member Username: Link119805Post Number: 13 Registered: Sep-08 | Thank you Nalin..I have a few more questions... If I have the DN 500+ and I get the DN 118/119 LNB and a seperate DN LNB for 110...Should the 110 be just a single DN Pro LNB? I have 4 receivers (PANs) and one DP44 switch.. I had hooked up 2 DN500s using in each one a Twin DP LNB through a DP34 and DP44 and it do not work. What would happen is that it would work for one of the pairs...say 110/199. And when I would hook up the send sat/twin lnb the signals on the receivers would all get lost. It seems that the dp34 and dp44 does NOT like twins or quad lnbs? Would it be better if they were each a "single" or a "dual" lnb? Also...If I go the 33" route that you suggested..How do I connect to 4 receivers via the dp44? Do I get the DN DP 118/119? or a different one? Which Antenna do you recommend and LNBs that would work with the 4 receivers...I imagine that I would need a switch as well..which one? Thank you for all the help. |

Platinum Member Username: NydasPost Number: 11894 Registered: Jun-06 | As Africanbrit pointed out, DP44 will do the job, but you WILL need a 30-33" dish. "Plus Dish 500+/1000+ Same as the Dish 1000 in function but about 5" larger and can pick up the 118.75i½ FSS location. As a 500+ it picks up 110i½, 118.75i½ and 119i½. Adding an LNB for 129i½ makes it a 1000+. " Total up the expenses. You can separate out 118/119 on the big dish and 110 on a standard dish, and a 61.5 on another standard Dish. Or you can have 118/119 LNB and 110 LNB mounted on the 30-33" Dish. I have not seen it recommended, but it occurs to me that two CB2008A on a 33" dish and two 110 duals on a standard dish, and two 61.5 duals on a standard dish, would give you four outputs from each for a four receiver setup without using dp44 and using four diseqC switches. |

Platinum Member Username: NydasPost Number: 11895 Registered: Jun-06 | You really do not need the 61.5 Dish at all. All the channels plus some more are there on 118.7
Silver Member Username: DimwittPost Number: 898 Registered: Aug-06 | Nalin, the user has pansat 9200 and will need 61.5 for the HD channels, which are NOT @ 118.7.

Platinum Member Username: NydasPost Number: 11900 Registered: Jun-06 | Tooter: I missed the HD part for 61.5 yes there a whole lot of new HD channels on Rainbow 1 which is now at 61.5 but may be shifted somewhere. What do you think of the likelihood of 61.5 becomeing a more or less permanent home for Rainbow 1. |

Platinum Member Username: NydasPost Number: 11901 Registered: Jun-06 | Steve M: I have to give credit to some people who like to show off their knowledge. The fact (confirmed by Lyngsat) is that all the HDs avaialble on 61.5 are available on 110,119, and 129 So I can categorically say that if you do not install 61.5 and have only 1000+ with 110,118.7/119/129 YOU WILL have all HD channels that you will want and not miss a thing. |

Bronze Member Username: Link119805Post Number: 15 Registered: Sep-08 | Thank you all for the inputs and advice...I wanted to ask you all since I am a rookie at this...I had the 110/199 all hooked up through dp34 to pansat 9200hd. I do have the 8psk board installed. I have a dp500 dish. I have was NOT able to get a single HD channel. I have heard that I have to get input all Transponders into 110 by hand. Then do a blind scan so they are found by the receiver...Any recommendations on this? Am I down the right path? Thanks |

Silver Member Username: DimwittPost Number: 899 Registered: Aug-06 | At future-fta.info you can find this: 'Full Cessna TP list for 61.5, 110, 119, 129, 82, 91' , in the channel list section , extract and load via usb in CH DATA folder OR Theres only 3 TP's with HD @ 110w - 12311 - 12399 - 12457 go to installation, advanced & TP scan, select echo8, TP 12311 and change symbol rate to 21500 - change tuner type to- DVB-S2/8PSK/ON and FEC to 2/3 then do TP scan(green button) do the same for the other TP's |

Bronze Member Username: Link119805Post Number: 17 Registered: Sep-08 | Tooter...I tried what you told me and no luck...What I noticed is that there is no signal whatsoever for those tps under the advanced&tp section...What could be worng? Silver Member Username: DimwittPost Number: 900 Registered: Aug-06 | Steve M, if you get no signal after you made changes to symbol rate, tuner type and the fec, i would open the 9200 and make sure the 8psk board is installed correctly (making sure connections are secure). The rest of the HD channels are located at 129 or 61.5 http://dishuser.org/129list.php http://dishuser.org/61-5list.php http://dishuser.org/110list.php |

Bronze Member Username: Link119805Post Number: 18 Registered: Sep-08 | Hey Tooter thanks again...I will open it and make sure the connections are OK...But, let me ask you...How does the 8psk board actually get "switched in" in the circuitry? Is it when you select the 8psk feature in the TP setup meanu that you had mentioned? And if the board is bad or bad connections how coma I still get the regular channels(non hd)? What do you think? Thanks |

Silver Member Username: DimwittPost Number: 901 Registered: Aug-06 | As far as i can remember all that was done was to install board, add the cable from loop out to the input of the 8psk board and scan. the sd channels don't need the 8psk board, i tried removing the connections of the 8psk and found that signal and quality remained just bad /scrambled message on hd channels(sd ok)- tried to remove connection from power supply , but the 9200 would get stuck at b'07. the only way i could get the no signal on the hd channels was to disconnect the cable from loop out to the 8psk board. possibly replace cable from loop out to 8psk-- all i can offer now is just hoops to jump thru --i suggest you go to |

Platinum Member Username: NydasPost Number: 11912 Registered: Jun-06 | HOWTO: Pansat 9200 Scan HD and How to install 8psk module c/p from cesna pilot: With the 9200: Scan All DN HD Channels Every Time For the Pansat 9200, the following procedure will virtually guarantee finding all High Definition channels on each [Satellite] scan, whether published or not. Even though not all transponders may actually be in use on the bird you are about to scan, manually input all 32 transponders, Twice. Once for the SD channels, and once for the HD channels. When you are finished, you should have 64 transponders stored. One thing that is standard with all DN and Bev satellites is they use the same transponder frequencies and polarity. You can obtain the list by going to LyngSat - Lyngemark Satellite or see the list below. The protocol used is as following: Menu Installation Satellite Setup Edit TP/SAT Choose Satellite Edit TP Delete all Transponders, one at a time For Standard Channels Down Frequency: 12443 Symbol Rate: 20000 Polarity: Horizontal Tuner Type: DVB-S Modulation: QPSK Pilot: Off FEC: 5/6 For High Def Down Frequency: 12443 Symbol Rate: 21500 Polarity: Horizontal Tuner Type: DVB-S2 Modulation: 8PSK Pilot: On FEC: 2/3 When finished, perform a Satellite Scan on each bird. Interesting note: Usually the FEC, when set to Auto, will still normally find the proper Forward Error Correction, however, this is not the case with HD. When manual insertion is in use, the information must be exact. I performed the above-mentioned procedure on all DN birds. Make sure you save your work to your USB card so as not to have to repeat this [lengthy but beneficial] process. In so doing, this procedure will ensure all current, and future HD channels will be found whenever a satellite scan is performed. Active Transponder List 12224V 12239H 12253V 12268H 12282V 12297H 12311V 12326H 12341V 12355H 12370V 12384H 12399V 12414H 12428V 12443H 12457V 12472H 12486V 12501H 12516V 12530H 12545V 12559H 12574V 12588H 12603V 12618H 12632V 12647H 12661V 12676H Note: Bev is QPSK [not 8PSK as is DN] and does not require this modification. It will however be beneficial to manually input all 32 transponders and the 20000 symbol rate. This will ensure 100% channels found, provided a good quality signal is present. |

Platinum Member Username: NydasPost Number: 11914 Registered: Jun-06 | When you buy a Pansat 9200, the 8 spk module DOES NOT come installed. It is a separate purchase. Needed for DN channels - not needed for BEV at 82W.
Bronze Member Username: Link119805Post Number: 19 Registered: Sep-08 | Thanks guys...Nalin...I did all of the above steps...several times over...But when I go the TP with the HD and perform a scan I see "no singal" on the TP at all. I was telling Tooter this as well. What I was wondering was if the 8psk board was bad or bad connections insiode if that would stop the rest of the unit from working? Any suggesitons... thank you.

Silver Member Username: DimwittPost Number: 904 Registered: Aug-06 | Steve M, if you use the 9200 to record(with external hard drive). - use the one labeled pvr. if you don't have a hard drive connected to 9200-use the other file |

Bronze Member Username: Link119805Post Number: 22 Registered: Sep-08 | Hey Tooter...thanks...I will use that one...by the way I have tried several times with the 9200...I rebooted it, checked all connections, and I still no signal at the transponder...I wonder if I have a bad 8psk board?
