superslammy: PUFF Diver has a point. With the Tronics direct load software, you do not have to wait for new PUFF files to be posted. You can have this Tronics loader ready in your computer, and as soon as new BIN is published for the genuine 2700, you can load your receiver using Tronic Converer/loader and the new BL BIN. When I tried to alert people to this method, i had six private emails with problems - they were all related to inexperience or lack of knowledge, but it did create an extra unneeded workload for me.
Should I create a thread for this tool so we can refer people to it? It took me a few minutes to figure out, but it is some what simple. I haven't tried it's other features though.
I dont mind helping people. I am always on my PC ;-)
I have nothing against Tronics software. He is by far the most aggressive and knowledgeable of the whole clan of modifiers. If people can understand how to use the software and use it accordingly, it is a good piece of software. One should be careful in creating a thread with separate heading to make sure that only those who want to convert or use it in an effective ay go to it.
If you are just using it to load a B75 to PUFF, it only has one more additional step which is clicking the mod bin button. button. The rest is the same. He has included a GUI now so it is just point and click, no command line.
1. browse your pc for 2700 file (B75) 2. Click PUFF to state you are using a PUFF bootloader 3. Click Mod Bin 4. Select COM1 5. Then click Download. A pop up tells you what to do from there.
